Japanese Tokyo-based artist Toshihiko Hosaka started to create sand sculptures while he was studying Fine Arts in the Tokyo National University. Since he graduated, he has been making sand sculptures and other three-dimensional works of various materials for filming, shops and other purposes. To avoid erosion caused by wind and sharp changes in temperature and humidity, he applies a hardening spray that makes them endure for a few days.
I started sand sculpting during studying at the University. Since I graduated from there, I have been making sculpture and three-dimensional works of various materials for filming, shops, and so on.
